Last moments in California, Nov 3rd

Bye, Great-Grandma Heinke! I had a wonderful time playing with you!

Back on the plane, getting ready for a nap. Goodbye California!

Tour of the Swenson property

I think Great-Grandma & Grandpa's house was built in the 60's (they designed it) and it hasn't changed much since then. Check it out...

View of the front of the house from the street
Follow the driveway up on the left

Go up the steps and through the front door

The entryway, viewed from the living room. The master bedroom and bath are through the hall on the left.

To the right you can see the hallway to the guest rooms
Two guestrooms up the stairs and to the left. Dad slept in the 1st one on the left (Uncle Eric's old room) and Mom & me slept in the 2nd one (Grandma Peggy's old room). Straight ahead is the bathroom, and down the hall to the right...
....is the kitchen.
Turn again to the right and go back down the hallway...
...
...to the living room

Turn a bit to the left
and you can see into the big backyard.
Turn a bit more
and you're in the dining room. Head up the stairs on the right...
(view from the top of the stairs)...
...and walk into the kitchen.

Go through the door ahead...
...and walk into the laundry room.
There's another door on the right that heads out to the backyard.
If you look straight ahead, you can see the stairs leading back into the laundry room. Now, start turning to the right...

Follow the path...

That's the clothesline, with lemon trees in the background.
Lemon tree on the right and a garden in the background.
We've reached the back corner of the yard. Now head up the path to the left.
See the lemons on the tree, toward the ground?
A bench, so you can sit and enjoy the view of the yard.

A view of the back of the house, looking into the living room on the left and dining room on the right.
Turn to the right...
...and head up the stairs, back into the house.

Ah, nature....
